Lost and Found

My wife lost her keys on more than one occasion

Her sunglasses too

It’s amazing how women will spend most of their lives

Looking for things that they have lost, just left laying around

She will hunt for absolutely everything, except for a pound

She lost more than one in her day

And she has never looked for any of them, no way

She announced with good cheer, I have lost another pound

But there was no worried look or scurrying about

No trips to the closet, the drawer

No turning things over or inside and out

But alas she is in trouble, I hate to burst her bubble

Because it is sad but true

That if you loose a pound, it surely will come looking for you
